To begin, in the interests of being transparent, I will admit to my sports franchise bias list. Said list includes:
- Toronto Maple Leafs
- Los Angeles Lakers
- Toronto Raptors
- Toronto Blue Jays
- Manchester United
(To a lesser extent, I add other Toronto-based franchises like including the Rock, Marlies and Argonauts.)
Rather than focus on any one of my favorite teams (or leagues), I wish to accept the challenge required to research/learn/write about a wider range of sporting topics. I also wish for the S.A.W. blog to incorporate different voices and the varied opinions associated with them. To accomplish this, eventually I want to roll out collaborative blogs, podcasts and videos with fans of other teams/players within the sports leagues S.A.W. will cover.
I already have several ideas for upcoming blogs and hope to publish them soon. I thank you in advance for reading those as I thank you for reading this!
